Artemis Mytilene

Artemis (Greek: Ἄρτεμις), a part of Greek mythology, is known as the representative of hunting, wildlife, creatures of nature, greenery, childbirth, childcare and virginity. She is strongly identified with the goddess of the moon, Selene, and another moon goddess, Hekate, and for this reason, she is considered one of the most important moon goddesses in the history of mythology, apart from the two mentioned above. She is usually depicted wandering through the forests of Greece with a large entourage of water nymphs, some humans and hunters. Her counterpart in Roman mythology is Diana.

Artemis is also known as the daughter of Zeus and Leto, the twin sister of Apollo and the goddess of the moon. She is a close friend of Ares and one of the most influential goddesses in Greek mythology.
