The Terracotta Army is a collection of soldiers, horses and chariots made of clay, the same dimensions as the real ones, unearthed around the giant mausoleum of Shi Huangdi, the first emperor of China and the founder of the Qin dynasty. It is estimated that there were 8000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses, and 150 cavalry horses, most of them still under the ground, at the excavation site. The Army was included in the World Cultural Heritage List by UNESCO in 1987.
